STEP UP SUNDAY
On Step Up Sunday all the youngsters will be stepping up a grade in their Sunday School classes.
During worship services we will have a “blessing of the backpacks” for all of our students to get them off on the right foot this school year. All students are invited to bring their backpacks to church to be blessed during worship. And, since we are all “students of faith”, we want to extend an invitation to all of our adults to also bring any of their bags to be blessed, a backpack, satchel, diaper bag, hand bag or whatever you use in your journey as a student of faith. Everyone will get a special tag to attach to their bags to commemorate the blessing.
During the 9:45 Sunday school hour, we will have a meet and greet time for the school aged children. They will have a chance to meet their new teachers and really enjoy their moment of advancement to the next level.
FAMILY FUN NIGHT!
Ice Cream Social & Drive Inside Movie
Saturday, August 16
You bring the ice cream and we will provide the toppings and treats. We will also be watching a very funny movie called “Adam Sandler’s Bedtime Stories”, a family comedy about a hotel handyman whose life changes when the lavish bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to magically come true.
Family Fun Night is FUN for all! Invite your friends and neighbors and join us for a sweet treat and fun flick!
