Food 4 Kids Backpack Program

1st Wednesday of Every Month in the Breezeway

On the first Wednesday of every month at 9:00 am and 5:15 pm (except June, July and August), volunteers pack up donations of food for the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program which provides food for kids in need at Camacho Elementary, our neighborhood elementary school. We are always looking for volunteers to come help pack food.

BLAST 3

BLAST! Kids Play and Praise Our God

BLAST! is a program for children ages 3 (potty-trained) through 5th grade. We meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month for crafts, songs, games, and stories designed to help us learn about our Savior and loving those around us. There is no cost to participate and all children are welcome!  BLAST! is offered on the 2nd Saturday of every month. We do not meet in June, July and August.

Parent’s Night Out is open to children who are potty trained. The cost is $10 per child for the night. We play games, sing songs, eat snacks and do a fun craft before settling down to watch a movie. Children arriving before 6:30 are invited to bring their dinner and eat together. Children are encouraged to arrive in their pajamas and bring a mat to lay on during movie time.

The Quilting Group makes quilts to donate to the Linus Connection. The Linus Connection is a Central Texas organization which gives handmade security blankets to children in crisis situations in our area. The blankets go to children in emergency rooms, crisis centers, foster care, battered women’s shelters, and to any child who is in need of a little extra security in their lives. All are welcome to the quilting group! Bring your sewing machine.

M.O.M.S. (Moms Offering Moms Support) is a place for moms of all ages to find Christian support for mothers through prayer, scripture, and fellowship. The group meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm in Meeting Room B. Child care is provided.

Turkey Build & Potluck Dinner

Join us in the fellowship hall for a potluck dinner & turkey building! After we share a meal together, each family will get to build a wooden turkey to take home. Take time to reflect on the things you are thankful for as you write a different blessing on each one of your turkey’s feathers.

Bring a hammer and a potluck dish to share. Be sure to wear clothes you can paint in! All other materials to build the turkeys will be supplied and there is no cost to participate.

This is a family-friendly event and fun for all ages. Invite your friends and neighbors!

We will have only one worship service on July 1st at 10:00 am in the fellowship hall. The kids will sing some songs they learned at Vacation Bible School. Following the service, we will have a picnic outside on the lawn! All the children who attended VBS will be invited to come and bring their families. We will not have Sunday school classes, but will have child care.

All are invited to “The Path to the Parables”, a family-friendly event outside in the church courtyard on Saturday, May 18. Come by anytime and experience an interactive series of stations, each representing a different parable. The parables represented will include: “The Prodigal Son”, “The Leaven”, “The Sower, “The Net”, and “The Strong Man”.  Each center will including an interactive component, art, a take-home activity, and thought provoking questions to consider. This experience is created to be parent-led and suitable for the entire family. 

WOMEN'S PROGRESSIVE DINNER

All women are invited to share in a fun dinner party experience. Make some new friends while enjoying delicious food.

Here’s how it works: Everyone will meet for appetizers and a short devotional in the Fellowship Hall at 5:30 pm. Then everyone draws names (and maps) to determine where you will have your salad and main course. The whole group will then meet back in the Fellowship Hall for dessert and a closing devotional.

Participants are asked to provide either an appetizer or dessert to share.

We’ll have chili eat’n, a lively Baked Goods Auction, games, and a silent auction where you can bid on all kinds of things. There is no charge to attend and eat chili. Proceeds from the auctions will go to Project Transformation.

The winner of the “Best Tasting Chili” contest will win the much respected, though repulsive Stuffed Armadillo award. The baker of the item which receives the highest bid in the auction will win the highly coveted Floury Apron award.

The Choir will be presenting “Christmas Presence”, a cantata by Pepper Choplin on Sunday, December 16 at the 8:30 and 11:00 worship services. We invite you to come and welcome in the Christmas season. From the miracle of prophecy to the miracle of the Savior’s birth, this Cantata blends familiar carols with original compositions to present the timeless message of Christmas in a new fresh way. Please join us to celebrate Christ’s presence with us in song.

Sales from the concession stand will go to support the Costa Rica Mission Team.  All items in the concession stand are $1.00 or less (drinks are $1 and includes refills).

During holiday seasons filled with family memories, many who grieve need a space to bring such lament and hope as an offering of worship before God. You are invited to come be a part of this special service whether you are grieving in some way or desire to support those who grieve. The service is designed to acknowledge many causes of loss and grief. You can expect prayers, meditation, candle-lighting, and anointing.   

This service is open to anyone who is grieving a loss of any kind.
