Please join us for a memorial service lead by Rev. Larry Shores, honoring the life of Pam Zelewski on June 14 at 11am here at LUMC. Pam was a beloved member of our church family and a faithful voice in the choir for many years. We give thanks for her life, her music, and her witness to Christ’s love. All are welcome as we celebrate her legacy and lift up her memory in worship and song.

Obituary:

Pam Zelewski, a 38-year resident of Leander, Texas, was born on December 27th, 1947 at Lincoln General Hospital, Lincoln, Nebraska, to Dale and Betty (Moxham) Eickman.

On May 17, 2025 the Lord called Pam home to sing with the heavenly choir.

Pam attended grade school, high school, and business college in Nebraska. Pam started her working career as a table server at Gillan’s Café in Seward, Nebraska, when she was 12 years old. After completing business college Pam worked for Bruning Couplers, followed by 5 years at Derby Refining in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her next employment was as the Administrative Assistant to the Grand Exalted Ruler of the International Elks Organization. In 1976 Pam, along with husband, Chuck, moved to Schaumberg, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) where she worked for Xerox Learning Systems. When several of the principal salespeople left Xerox and started their own Learning System business, Pam also left Xerox and became an entrepreneur starting PCA Inc., an office support business. In the fall of 1987 Pam relocated to Leander, Texas, where she began a new career, with Texas Nuclear, in radiation safety training, radiation stakeholder auditing, and radiation device management. As time went on Pam’s mentor at Texas Nuclear left to start his own company, Radiation Technology, and brought Pam along as a trainer and technician working with Radioactive Measuring devices. When Pam’s mentor at Radiation Technology passed away, Pam became co-owner of the corporation, eventually becoming the principal stockholder and President.

Pam had a lifelong love of music. She played violin, flute, piano, organ, and had a terrific singing voice. Pam loved to sing gospel and barbershop music.

Pam is survived by her husband (Chuck), daughter (Susan), 3-brothers (Larry, Ted, and Steve), and a sister (Dorothy), numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on June 14th, 2025 at 11:00 am; at Leander United Methodist Church, 107 S West Dr., Leander, Texas.
