Answers to our finance/stewardship quiz

1). LUMC’s 2025 Budget is $335,158. It includes items such as staff salaries, housing, health insurance and other expenses to support our pastor, property insurance, building maintenance, utilities…

2). True. LUMC has utilized undesignated reserve funds to balance our budget. This began during 2020 with the pandemic. The good news is that we have become less dependent on reserve funds during the past 2 years. We hope this trend continues. Thank you; that’s because of your generosity!

3). d). $0 – the Permanent Endowment funds may not be used to support administrative expenses. Any exceptions to that would require a special vote and extraordinary circumstances.

4). True. LUMC provides a housing allowance for our pastor as part of his support package, which also includes salary, health insurance, education and travel budget items.

5) b). False. Through March, LUMC giving is running above projections! Covenant giving (those who return a covenant card with a stated intention to give a certain amount) ran 117% of projected income. Regular giving w/o covenant cards ran almost at 100% of projections.
