Support Our Disaster Response Efforts

In September 2025, the Rio Texas Residence in Ministry Class of 2026 will travel to Austin to learn how the church can respond faithfully and effectively to natural disasters. We will work with UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) to learn hands-on disaster response strategies and provide cleanup resources. We'll also partner with Texas Impact to explore how the church can advocate for strong and just climate policies in our state.

This mission is personal to us. Our commitment was inspired by the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina—impacting our friends, families, and neighbors. Any funds raised beyond our team’s expenses will go directly to support ongoing hurricane recovery in North Carolina.

Your gift will help equip our team and support recovery efforts as we join God’s work of healing and restoration.
