Changing the World November

Throughout November, our Changing the World offering supports the Rio Texas Conference Project Transformation, a ministry that pairs children who need support with college students who want to serve.

Here’s how it works. Churches in underserved communities open their buildings for out-of-school programs, and college-age interns lead them. Children build literacy, social and emotional skills, and spiritual growth. The interns live together in community, explore their calling, and grow as servant leaders. The churches that host the programs get to reconnect with their neighbors. Each year, about 45 young adults serve more than 250 children at six site churches across South Texas.

One intern put it this way: Project Transformation is “the place for growth and change. In your own life but also in others.”

Your gift helps children learn to read, and it helps shape the next generation of leaders.
