Hello friends,

We are now on the second week of our fall stewardship series: Living the Promise. Together we’ve been reflecting on the promises we make as members of The United Methodist Church—to support the mission of Christ through our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness.

Stewardship is about more than money. It’s about the whole of our lives—how we care for what God has entrusted to us: our time, our relationships, our resources, and our faith. It’s about becoming a people who live generously and faithfully in every part of life.

Each week, we’re focusing  on one of these vows, hearing stories from our congregation’s journey and from the Methodist movement—reminders of God’s faithfulness in the past and signs of God’s future among us.

This season is also a chance to ask:

  • If I am a member, how am I living out my vows?
  • If I am not yet a member, is God nudging me to take that step?
  • If I have not been baptized, could this be the season to say “yes” to God’s grace?
  • If I already give my prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness—how might God be inviting me to deepen those promises?

On October 26, we’ll celebrate Commitment Sunday: bringing our 2026 commitments, welcoming new members, and dedicating ourselves again to Christ’s mission through Leander UMC.

Let’s step forward with hope, trusting the Spirit who is still moving, still calling, and still building a church that bears witness to love.

Shalom,
Pastor Ryan
