In addition to a Grace Space and children’s Bibles in the pews, the MMT team will be creating a sensory room for all families to use during worship services.
The Foundations of Faith room will be transformed into a soothing, kid-friendly, and participatory environment designed to help children and caregivers feel comfortable, engaged, and connected throughout the service. This room will remain functional so it can still be used for adult Sunday school and meetings. Planned additions include a new TV to livestream worship, a collection of sensory toys and calming activities, flexible seating, and a cozy tent nook where children can reset and recharge as needed.
This welcoming space is intended to support a variety of sensory needs and family experiences while helping every child feel that they belong in worship and in our church community.
